Situation
The Ballarat GovHub is a new government office complex based in the heart of Ballarat. Home to 1000 Victorian Government employees including up to 600 public sector positions relocating from Melbourne. This project is a major step to revitalisation of the City of Ballarat.
Designed to respect and connect the heritage assets in the surrounding area. John Wardle Architects worked closely with Development Victorian and the wider Ballarat community to give this complex high architectural value while helping to revitalise this regional city.
This new complex includes:
- -Ground floor space
- -Glass conservatory lining the civic hall to the GovHub
- -Lower hall space for multi-purpose use
- -Fiver storeys of office space
