The project forms a benchmark for the successful ongoing development of multi-use sporting facilities by Cardinia Shire Council with flexible multi-use spaces, Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD) & Accessibility outcomes driving the design.
The design is based around a central ‘heart’ community space, promoting shared engagement between various sporting codes. Respective sporting changeroom, umpire & storage spaces branch off directional to their various sporting fields. A series of ‘portal’ arrival points are shaped to a northern entry courtyard forming a distinct identity for the facility, opening to the community.
