Situation

Several new supermarket developments throughout Victoria required a visually stunning, high impact acoustic solution to mitigate noise associated with busy shoppers in hard surface environments.

Solution

Working closely with Peter Harvey architects and delivering beyond expectations again, Atkar have developed an economical and highly effective, decorative acoustic ceiling panel system for several Victorian store locations. Au.diSlat was installed in long lengths at IGA North Melbourne, IGA Glengala and a Brunswick convenience store to create a streamlined visual flow to ceilings with added warmth that significantly reduces unwanted reverberation. At IGA Caroline Springs, Au.diTile reduces reverberation above fresh food with a warm timber finish that complements the produce. To further reduce noise levels within this bustling supermarket, Atkar designed and constructed, vibrant red Au.diPanel baffles to achieve a visually dynamic result. For IGA Point Cook, Au.diLux ceiling panels combine with Atkar’s Integrated Acoustic Backing to substantially reduce reverberation resulting in a stylish and refreshing retail atmosphere.
