Situation
A futuristic design for the refresh of RMIT’s Bundoora Campus Lecture Theatres.
Solution
This dreamy project required a practical acoustic solution which was cost-effective, time-sensitive and aesthetically appealing to achieve this statement design vision. Many of Atkar’s products feature in this project including Au.diPanel, Au.diLux, VoglFuge and Au.diSlat. All of which satisfied the Group Fire Ratings required in this educational environment. Atkar Group collaborated closely with Paul Morgan architects during the design stage to blend our products together to fit the brief and create this stunning end result.
VoglFuge was the ideal solution to achieve a twinkling back-lit wall which adds to the overall atmosphere of the space. Lighting was seamlessly integrated behind the VoglFuge panels to achieve this luminous result.
We worked closely with Alchemy Construct to supply the customised panels to strict project timelines. Time sensitivities were a factor on this project given the Lecture Theatres needed to be back in use for the new term. Atkar worked to tight deadlines to ensure the rejuvenation was completed on time.
